Public Policy Conference

The American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA) and Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) brought together more than 200 distillers from 41 states to participate in more than 120 scheduled virtual congressional visits with their home state legislators to discuss the economic impact of the industry and other policy issues. Senior officials from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA), and Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) addressed participants. This year’s conference closed with a virtual toast honoring World Central Kitchen with the first-ever Humanitarian Spirit Award and raising a glass with Shannon Mustipher, winner of Tales of the Cocktail Pioneer Award.
