Distilled Spirits Council urges Governor Murphy to sign

The New Jersey legislature sent S3340, a bill allowing restaurants, bars, distilleries and breweries to continue using their outdoor spaces in response to COVID-19, to Governor Phil Murphy’s desk for signature today. Outdoor areas include patios, decks, yards and parking lots.

“Finding innovative ways to support New Jersey’s hospitality businesses is critical to their survival during the pandemic,” said Jay Hibbard, Distilled Spirits Council Vice President of State Government Relations. “Outdoor dining has proved to be a valuable economic lifeline for local restaurants, bars and distilleries that have struggled to cope with the harsh economic impacts of COVID-19. We urge Governor Murphy to sign this bill and provide much-needed relief to New Jersey businesses.”
