In this new position, Starbuck Kelley will help oversee the Council’s public relations campaign promoting the heritage, culture and style of distilled spirits. The campaign, now in its third year, generates media interest in the rich history of the spirits industry and the resurgence of the cocktail culture through distillery tours, spirits category events and general media relations. “Shawn’s expertise and network in the food and drink industry will establish new opportunities for the Distilled Spirits Council among opinion leaders in the media in New York and beyond,” said Frank Coleman, Distilled Spirits Council Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications. “New cocktail trends are being created everyday in New York.
