Andrew O’Neil

International Trade Policy Manager

Prior to joining DISCUS, Andrew served as a Trade Policy Officer at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, D.C. In that capacity, he monitored U.S. trade and regulatory developments and advised Canadian officials on economic issues impacting the bilateral relationship. Andrew started his career as a Robert Schuman Trainee with the European Parliament offices in Washington and Brussels, focusing on U.S. foreign and trade policy.

Andrew received his M.A. in European Foreign Affairs from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), and a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Saint Louis University.

Andrew’s favorite drink? I usually stick to the classics, either a bourbon old fashioned or a gin and tonic with lime.

Something you should know about Andrew? Andrew is a native Kansas Citian and avid sports fan. While living in Belgium, Andrew didn’t let the time difference stop him from watching the Royals break their championship drought – even when the games aired at 3am.
