Myleah Lofland

Communications Associate

Myleah graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Government and Politics. She interned for several news organizations until she landed her first job at a local public access station in Laurel, MD, called “Laurel TV.” She worked as a journalist and show host for over a year, reporting on community stories and hosting her own show called “What the GOV?” to educate millennials, young people, and anyone who has forgotten—the basics of government. During this same period, she interned as a Social Media Marketing Assistant at the AHA Foundation, where she monitored social media, helped to coordinate events, and edited videos for the various social media platforms.

At DISCUS and Responsibility.org, Myleah supports our website and social media efforts.
