DISCUS is the leading convener of the spirits industry, bringing together producers large and small, supply chain professionals and our service partners. A place where executive leaders, craft distillers, and all industry stakeholders can share their ideas to drive innovation and succeed in the modern distilled spirits marketplace. For more information on any of our membership opportunities email [email protected]its.org or call 202-628-3544.
The DISCUS Director Member tier is comprised of the industry’s leading producers and marketers of distilled spirits. Together, representatives from these players make up our Board of Directors and issue specific committees. These groups work to guide legislative, regulatory and public affairs issues that impact the distilled spirits sector, its adult consumers and its business partners at the local, state, federal and international levels. DISCUS is proud to have a growing number of Craft Members across the United States. Our craft Members include small to medium sized distilleries producing a wide variety of products from vodka, gin and rum to aged whiskeys, brandies, cognac and other liqueurs.
Our Craft Members are active in making their voice heard on public policies issues affecting the industry at both the state and federal level and we recognize the important role that they play in their community through their contributions to local economies, tourism, and job market.
The Craft Membership is led by the Craft Advisory Council. The Advisory Council’s role is to coordinate communications with DISCUS’ standing committees and policy teams, as well as engage and activate small producers in their respective regions on issues of critical importance to the craft spirits sector. Our Partner Members represent persons, organizations, firms, and related associations engaged with the supply chain for the distilled spirits industry but not involved in direct sales.
Launched in 2019, the goal is to connect the industry’s broader ecosystem to exchange thoughts, resources and expertise, and to provide support regarding the critical issues that impact the industry at large.
We offer our Partner Members three levels of engagement:
- Silver Membership
- Gold Membership
- Platinum Membership
Regardless of level, all Partner Members receive our weekly member newsletter, state law tracking and legislative updates, and exclusive event invitations – as well as sponsorships of DISCUS events, thought leadership opportunities and the opportunity to engage with our network of spirits producers.
