The Distilled Spirits Council today commended JobsOhio Beverage System (JOBS) and the Ohio Division of Liquor Control for resolving the long-standing issue of back payments and providing reconciliation to suppliers.

“We are pleased to have worked with JobsOhio Beverage System, the Ohio Department of Liquor Control and NABCA to ensure distilled spirits suppliers to the state get paid what they are owed,” said Distilled Spirits Council Vice President of State Government Relations David Wojnar. “We commend JobsOhio Beverage System and the Ohio Department of Liquor Control for recognizing the problem, establishing an open line of communication and, ultimately, rectifying the situation by providing reconciliation payments to suppliers.”

“Ohio is an important spirits market and we look forward to working with the state and its contractors to create a robust spirits market that serves the consumer with great prices and selection. Resolving the reconciliation issue is a step in the right direction and we are encouraged by this latest development,” Wojnar concluded.
