Hasan Bakir

Director of Economic Studies

Hasan began his professional career at the Central Bank of Turkey, analyzing macroeconomic trends and producing time-series forecasts of industrial production and inflation. After that, he worked as an economist for Turkish Businessmen Association (TUSIAD). At DISCUS, Hasan estimates the impacts of policy changes on the distilled spirits industry in terms of jobs and economic activity and provides critical analyses of journal articles on beverage alcohol issues. Hasan received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Economics from Middle Technical University and has a Ph.D. in Economics from Istanbul University.
