The Distilled Spirits Council, representing over 150 distillers of all sizes, announced today the appointment of Maggie Quinn as its new Director of Public Relations, based in New York.

In her new role at the Council, Quinn will promote spirits trends, cocktail culture and industry heritage through media relations, special events and media tours, as well as digital and social media activities. She will also work closely with media to disseminate the latest industry data and category statistics.

“Maggie Quinn is a talented PR pro who brings a wealth of spirits brand communications experience to our public relations director position,” said Distilled Spirits Council Senior Vice President Frank Coleman. “She will help the Council promote distilled spirits to lifestyle and business media in New York, across the country and around the globe.”

Quinn most recently served as a Senior Account Executive at Access Brand Communications in New York, where she developed and executed public relations and marketing campaigns for a variety of consumer and lifestyle clients including several market leading spirits brands. Her breadth of experience also includes social media, event planning and media relations.

Quinn added, “I am elated to join the Distilled Spirits Council, one of the most prestigious national associations and leaders in spirits advocacy. With so many recent advancements in the industry, I am excited to be a part of its next chapter and publicize the dynamic space of spirits trends and heritage.”

Quinn replaces Kelley McGann who has served at the Council for more than three years and is departing to start her own business called Whisck, a travel company for spirits brand trips.

“Kelley McGann produced some of the finest category trips and events in the history of the Distilled Spirits Council,” said Coleman. “We wish her all the best in her next chapter.”
