In what are sure to be the most sought after tickets of the political season, the Distilled Spirits Council and the Locust Street Group are partnering with The Wall Street Journal to co-host Monday night events at the national nominating conventions in Cleveland (Republicans) and Philadelphia (Democrats) this July.

The Distilled Spirits Council is the national trade association representing producers and marketers of distilled spirits sold in the United States and the Locust Street Group is a bipartisan, outside-the-beltway public affairs firm.

The “Spirits of Cleveland” event on Monday, July 18, 2016, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., at the Cuyahoga County Courthouse, 1 West Lakeside Ave., will bring together media, policy makers and other opinion leaders and feature elaborate tasting bars, specialty cocktails and live entertainment.

The Philadelphia event will be “One Hell of a Night” with Joe Walsh and friends featuring special guest Jason Isbell, at the World Café Live, 3025 Walnut Street, Monday, July 25, 8 p.m. to midnight, and will also highlight the world’s best distilled spirits and specialty cocktails.

“The Distilled Spirits Council and Locust Street Group are pleased to join with The Wall Street Journal to celebrate the best of America in Cleveland and Philadelphia,” said Distilled Spirits Council President & CEO Kraig R. Naasz. “We look forward to showcasing our sector’s finest products from the best bourbons, single malts and brandies to rums, tequilas, gins and vodkas.  As always, we encourage adults to enjoy our fine beverages responsibly and in moderation.”
