Corey Staniscia joins DISCUS from CSC Group, a government affairs practice he founded in 2021. At CSC Group, he managed diverse initiatives for clients, which included local municipalities and an ESPN football bowl game.

Previously, Corey served as Chief Legislative Aide to Florida State Representative Chip LaMarca, contributing to policy initiatives like wine bottle size limits repeal legislation. He also notably authored the Collegiate Athlete Compensation and Rights Bill (NIL) in 2019 and later co-founded the Fowler Avenue NIL Collective, supporting University of South Florida athletes. Fun fact – Fowler Avenue has also recently relabeled a 7-year bourbon for fans to purchase in the Tampa Bay area and online.

A recognized expert in collegiate sports policy, Corey has been featured in major publications such as ESPN Sports Center, Forbes, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Athletic, and countless others. He currently serves on the National Collegiate Football Players Association. He earned the “30 Under 30” Rising Stars in Florida Politics in 2016.

Corey holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management from the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Corey’s favorite drink? He shares a passion for Italian aperitifs like the Aperol Spritz and the Negroni with his fiancée Catharine and their dog Vincenzo.

Something you should know about Corey? Corey has dedicated nearly three decades to ice hockey as a player and a coach, and still serves as his club’s team captain and has been in that role for ten consecutive years.
