Sarah Fitzmaurice

Chief of Staff

Sarah is an experienced operations and change management leader. Currently she is responsible for driving revenue growth and leading the overall efficiencies for DISCUS and is part of the shared services platform supporting Responsibility.org. Sarah leads the Membership, Operations, Human Resources, and Information Technology functions. Previously, for nearly eight years, Sarah managed office operations, the office budget, and provided administrative support at the Government Relations Office at Smiths Group, a global technology company. Additionally, she oversaw the Government Relations team’s grassroots efforts and strategy, as well as the promotion, strategy, and compliance for the company’s political action committee, Smiths PAC.

Sarah’s favorite drink? “I used to really love Gin & Tonics and Moscow Mules, but I have grown to really enjoy a good Kentucky Mule — Bourbon with Fever Tree Ginger Beer and good twist of lime!”

Something you should know about Sarah? “I am from Canton, Ohio originally, home of the Football Hall of Fame!  I have two super cute and fun little girls Hannah and Julia.”
